SCD is committed to helping our students grow as they train together under the mentorship of an excellent artistic staff who create an outstanding classroom environment as well as high-quality performances that we share with the public, thereby enhancing each student’s sense of self-mastery.
Originally established in 1970, Sonoma Conservatory of Dance is a community-oriented nonprofit dance studio. Under the direction of Patricia O’Reilly, ARAD, since 2005, SCD provides a culturally-diverse dance education, scholarships, and high-quality performances for the youth and adults of the Sonoma Valley.
Ballet, like many arts, is underfunded, and so we invite you to partner with us to fulfill our mission. Approximately 10% of our student base would not be able to benefit from this rich education without the financial assistance the Conservatory is able to offer thanks to Corporate Partners and Philanthropic Donors like you. With your partnership and support, we will be able to continue to provide for our existing students in need and also reach out to more young people in the Valley.
Our Sonoma roots run deep, as does our commitment to provide affordable arts education to the community. As part of the professional-level training provided at SCD, we take to the stage twice each year with two full-length productions (December and April). Small groups of dancers also provide entertainment for community events pro bono. Just this summer, we danced at the Survivors Dinner and the Relay for Life events for the American Cancer Society.
Click here to partner with us today to create a community where the transformative grace and power of dance is accessible and available to all.
